BARBARIAN CROSS

The cross has been a universal symbol for thousands of years. It was most widely adopted by the Christians as a symbol for Life Everlasting.

The cross represents the communication point between Heaven and Earth. The vertical lines being the celestial, spiritual, active, male; the horizontal being the earthly, rational, passive female.  It is the union of opposites; the dualism of nature.

The arrow has been a sacred symbol since the use of the bow. The Goddess Artemis was depicted with silver bow and arrows. It has been more widely used as a symbol of male fertility, male power, and a weapon of war.

The Barbarian’s Cross combines these symbols to represent the cross worn by the invading warrior tribes of the Medieval period.
