Description
The Runic Pentacle has been a Protective Symbol for thousands of years. Its earliest connections were with the worship of the Earth Mother Goddess; from who’s Sacred five pedaled apple blossom and seeds the symbol may have been derived. It is the simplest form of star that can be drawn with a single line – hence it is sometimes called the Endless Knot. Other names are the Goblin’s Cross, the Pentalpha, the Witch’s Foot, the Devil’s Star, and the Seal of Solomon (more correctly attributed to the hexagram). Like the circle the Pentacle is considered a protective symbol because its continuous lines keep all evil out. Our Pentacle bears the Runic Alphabet: The Futhark, along its perimeter. This Ancient magical Nordic alphabet contains a mystery of wisdoms within each letter. It has long been believed to be a Potent Protection against evil and demons, hence a Symbol of Safety.
